Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili has responded to ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili’s alleged arrival from Ukraine to Georgia on the evening of the October 2 municipal election day in Georgia.

Garibashvili says that ‘today the state is powerful and any provocation will be strictly responded,’ adding that if ‘coward Saakashvili is pushed out (from Ukraine) or if he decides to return he will be held accountable.’

Saakashvili, who has been charged with several crimes in Georgia, has posted a photo of a reserved ticket from Ukraine to Georgia for forthcoming elections.

He has not returned to Georgia since 2013.
