After Russia invaded Ukraine, it is difficult for me to say whether Georgia could feel safe, political scientist and psychologist Ramaz Sakvarelidze has told Front News.

“It is difficult to make predictions when it comes to Russia. When there were talks of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, I argued it would not happen. It was such an illogical, reckless move. Many experts have apologized for this. Military and political analysts say that they did not expect this could happen as the move was so pointless,” Sakvarelidze said.

He says that Russia does not need an attack on Georgia  as it  will be “another nonsense which will further increase the aggression and confrontation of the whole world towards Russia.”

“However, after Russia attacked Ukraine, it is hard to predict how Russia may act towards Georgia,” he said.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

Hostilities have been in progress since then.
