The authoritarian leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will meet Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in Moscow later on Wednesday, amid the Kremlin’s ongoing  war in Ukraine.

The two leaders are scheduled to discuss “progress on Russia-Belarus unity issues”, the Kremlin said.

The meeting will also discuss the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, right next to the Polish border – as announced by Putin – as well as the response to Finland’s accession to NATO.
