Russian President Vladimir Putin says that the US and NATO have ignored Russia’s main complaints in their responses over the ongoing tension with Ukraine.

He stated yesterday that his government is now studying the responses from the US and NATO to Russia’s security demands related to Ukraine.

“However, it is already clear that the fundamental Russian concerns were ignored. We did not see an adequate consideration of our three key requirements,” Putin said.

One of the three ‘key requirements’ is the alliance to break its promise given to Georgia and Ukraine in 2008 on future membership.

The US and NATO say that the promise will remain in power.
