Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, has extended his congratulations to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.

In his congratulatory message, Bektenov emphasized the importance of Georgia as a key partner for Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus region.

"I would like to note with satisfaction that today Georgia, as a state that has taken significant steps toward comprehensive development and secured its rightful place on the international stage, is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus," Bektenov stated.

He also highlighted that Prime Minister Kobakhidze’s official visit to Kazakhstan in February gave a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations, including enhanced cooperation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, commonly known as the Middle Corridor.

"I am confident that our relationship will continue in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect for the benefit of our peoples. I wish you good health and success in your responsible public service, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Georgia," Bektenov concluded.

The statement was released by the Administration of the Government of Georgia.
