Journalists in various regions of Georgia have organized solidarity rallies to support media representatives injured during recent protests on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.

Participants carried photographs of injured journalists and protest banners, demanding accountability for the violence. They called for a thorough investigation, accusing the police of brutality against both the public and media professionals.

“We demand a proper investigation. Police actions against our colleagues and society have been excessively harsh, and this issue must be addressed,” stated the protesters.

Over the past two days, dozens of journalists have been injured while covering demonstrations on Rustaveli Avenue, drawing widespread criticism from media organizations and rights groups.
