He stated that for ‘Misha’ (Mikheil Saakashvili) this goes way beyond sex or gender – ‘he believes that he is entitled to everything and everyone, be it women, men, cars, real estate, or power.’

“He is not a democrat, never was and never will be. Not just because of his actions while in office, but because of this very attitude towards women,” Karumidze said.
Foreign expert Lincoln Mitchell replying to Karumidze by saying ‘I am curious how anybody could fail to understand that Saakashvili is all about himself. Hasn’t that been obvious for years?”

Roelofs’ released a post on Facebook yesterday in which she said Saakashvili’s recent announcement on a new family with Ukrainian MP Liza Yasko ‘was very surprising’ for her, while the form of the announcement – ‘unacceptable.’

Saakashvili and Yasko recorded a video prior to the ex-president’s departure to Georgia ahead of the October 2 municipal elections in which the couple announced they have a family.

Saakashvili until now has been officially married to Roelofs.

They have two sons Eduard and Nikoloz and have not announced their divorce officially.

Saakashvili, who is convicted in Georgia, says he has returned for the municipal elections after eight years in political exile, to ‘save the country’ from the current Georgian Dream leadership.

He said that winning  the  municipal elections by the United National Movement opposition, the party which was founded by him, would  be a step taken for a bigger victory – the change of authorities via early parliamentary elections.

Yasko also arrived in Georgia earlier this week and encouraged Georgians to support Saakashvili ‘who is a hero.’

She left the country yesterday.

Roelofs also says that Saakashvili ‘is a political prisoner,’ and ‘despite her emotions’ related to the recent news about Yasko, she called on people to support the ex-president.
