The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced a ban on 92 US citizens, including journalists from the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and the New York Times, from entering the country.

The decision, as Moscow claimed, was made “in response to the Russophobic course of the Biden administration.”

The Russian MFA asserted the course involved “blanket sanctions” against Russian politicians, business leaders, scientists, cultural figures, and media organizations.

It further claimed the banned journalists were involved in the production and dissemination of “fakes” about Russia and its armed forces, and in propagandizing the “hybrid war” allegedly orchestrated by Washington.

The “stop list” also included representatives from law enforcement and special services, as well as heads of companies in the military-industrial complex and financial institutions that supply weapons to Ukraine.
