Bottles containing flammable liquid were hurled at the Russian Embassy in Vilnius twice within two consecutive nights, as reported by Delfi, citing the Lithuanian police.

These attacks have resulted in damage to the embassy’s building wall. The perpetrators behind these incidents remain unidentified, prompting an ongoing investigation by law enforcement authorities.

These assaults come amidst a series of similar incidents targeting Russian diplomatic missions across various countries following the commencement of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. In Tallinn, eggs were thrown at the diplomatic mission, while in Bucharest, a vehicle collided with the embassy gate, igniting a fire.

Furthermore, the Russian embassy in Chisinau has also faced similar attacks in the past. In October 2022, firecrackers were thrown, accompanied by offensive graffiti on the fence. Subsequently, in August 2023, the embassy’s gate was damaged by a car.
