Russian media says Putin ready for talks with Kyiv

Russian media outlets say that President Vladimir Putin is ready for talks with the Ukrainian government. 

The media outlets claim that Putin has told this to the Chinese president in a phone conversation. 

The Ukrainian president has called on Russia for negotiations. 

“I want to address the President of the Russian Federation once again. Fighting is going on all over Ukraine. Let’s sit down at the negotiating table. Let’s stop the death of people,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov stated earlier today that talks were possible if the Ukrainian forces conceded.
