A Russian Azimut airliner en route from Tbilisi to St. Petersburg on Sunday reported a malfunction. The plane landed safely at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport.

The company’s press service did not specify what kind of malfunction it was.

Western sanctions have had a significant impact on Russia’s aviation industry since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. In recent months, Russia has seen a growing number of incidents involving aircraft equipment, some of which are related to engine malfunctions.
