Georgia and Romania played out a 1-1 draw in an international friendly match on Tuesday, with the contest also marking the end of captain Guram Kashia’s career.

The hosts took the lead shortly after the restart when Giorgi Kvilitaia found the net in the 46th minute, giving Georgia a 1-0 advantage.

Romania responded later in the match, scoring an equaliser to ensure the friendly ended level at 1-1.

The fixture carried added significance for Georgia captain Guram Kashia, who made his 129th and final appearance for the national team. The veteran defender officially brought his career to a close after the match.
