A Lebanese national has been arrested on charges of attempting to illegally cross Georgia’s state border, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on Sunday.
The body added officers from the Border Management and Coordination Main Division of the Patrol Police Department detained the foreign national at Tbilisi International Airport while he was allegedly attempting to cross Georgia’s state border using a forged document.
The offences are punishable by up to five years’ imprisonment.
