Georgia’s fifth President Salome Zourabichvili reaffirmed Georgia’s solidarity with Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, emphasizing that the two nations share a common struggle.

In a video address, Zourabichvili stated that despite the hybrid nature of the war against Georgia, it remains a real war that threatens freedom and independence.

“Today marks three years since Russia launched its aggression against Ukraine. Georgia and its people stand with Ukraine. When we talk about peace, it is crucial that it is a just peace—because without justice, there can be no lasting peace,” she said.

Zourabichvili highlighted that Georgia, like Ukraine, deserves a just and long-term peace within a free and united Europe.

“Our future is shared. We are also fighting for our freedom and independence. We stand by Ukraine at this crucial moment. Georgia wishes for a peace that is fair, enduring, and beneficial for all of Europe. We know that we are in the same battle. The war against us may be hybrid in nature, but it is still a war. Alongside others, we also deserve a fair and lasting peace in a free and independent Europe,” she concluded.

Her remarks come as Ukraine marks three years of resistance against Russia’s full-scale invasion, with continued international discussions on security, peace, and European integration.
