Tbilisi police have arrested a 21-year-old man, identified by the initials L.K., on charges of large-scale illegal possession and distribution of narcotics.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs on Wednesday said officers from the Patrol Police Department’s Tbilisi Main Directorate seized a significant quantity of the drug Alpha-PVP, already packaged for sale, along with materials used for drug packaging, during searches of the suspect’s residence and other locations in the city.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260¹ of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
