Georgia’s Interior Ministry officials hold meeting with US DTRA head

Shalva Tadumadze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, and Tengiz Sisauri, Director of the Expert-Criminalistics Department, held a working meeting with David Kennedy, head of the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
The discussion focused on priority areas of cooperation and future plans. Key topics included strengthening the capabilities of the department’s chemical laboratory, equipping it with modern technologies, improving personnel qualifications, and establishing a specialised continuous education module, the Ministry press office said.
The Interior Ministry has maintained active cooperation with the DTRA for many years. With the agency’s support, multiple projects across different areas have been implemented, enhancing Georgia’s forensic and laboratory capacities, the MIA added.
