Socially vulnerable individuals will retain their state social assistance for four years if they get involved in the government-initiated public employment programme, Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili has stated.
The aim of the programme, as it was earlier announced, was to decrease the number of the socially vulnerable individuals which currently amount to 600,000.
PM Irakli Garibashvili has stated that about 200,000 of the 600,000 individuals are able to work but refrain from doing so as they fear losing the social assistance.
Davitashvili said today that initially 50,000 jobs will be created with a monthly 300 GEL income.
He stated that the jobs will require either physical or mental capabilities.
