Sokhumi Youth Theatre to Present Romeo and Juliet at International Festival in Kazakhstan

The Giorgi Ratiani Sokhumi Professional State Youth Theatre will participate in the 3rd International Theatre Festival BIKEN FEST in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan. On September 16, the troupe will present the play Romeo and Juliet to the festival audience.

As part of the festival preparations, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Giorgi Jincharadze, together with Minister of Education and Culture, Beka Gvachliani, attended a rehearsal of the play. The Chairman met with the theatre troupe, wished them success at the international festival, and emphasized the important role of Sokhumi Youth Theatre in promoting Georgian-Abkhazian culture.

The theatre’s participation in the international festival is made possible with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia.
