Georgian Deputy Defence Minister participates in Ramstein format online meeting

Georgia’s Deputy Defence Minister Grigol Giorgadze took part in the latest Ramstein format online meeting, the Ministry of said on Wednesday.

The 30th session was co-chaired by UK Defence Secretary John Healey and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius, with Ukraine’s Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal addressing participants.

During the meeting, members of the international group reviewed the current situation in Russia’s war against Ukraine. Senior defence officials and ministers from NATO member and partner countries attended the session.

The Ramstein format was established in April 2022 at the initiative of the United States. Since February 13, 2025, coordination of the group has been jointly led by the United Kingdom and Germany.
