From May 20 to 22, representatives of NATO's International Military Staff and International Staff paid a working visit to Georgia’s Ministry of Defense to conduct a new round of consultations on military cooperation between NATO and Georgia.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the visit focused on reviewing the status of joint activities outlined under the cooperation format with NATO's Military Committee. Discussions also included a joint assessment draft of the NATO-Georgia Military Committee Work Plan and future partnership initiatives.
As part of the visit, the NATO delegation toured the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC), where they were briefed on the capabilities developed under the NATO-Georgia Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) and the ongoing support of international partners. The delegation also reviewed the center’s infrastructure and current projects.
Such working visits are held several times a year within the NATO Military Committee–Georgia cooperation framework, offering a platform for expert-level discussions on key aspects of military collaboration.
