A group of students from Tbilisi State University (TSU) has entered the university’s main building, vowing to remain there until Rector Jaba Samushia steps down.

The protest follows the release of footage showing police forces entering the TSU yard on November 19, before the protests against the October 26 general election results in the area were dispersed. Students have criticized the rector’s handling of the incident, demanding accountability.

Protests also continue outside the university, with demonstrators gathering on Chavchavadze Avenue near TSU’s first building.
