Georgia’s Interior Ministry on Sunday announced police officers had arrested six individuals on drug-related charges during a series of operations and investigative actions.
The detainees are accused of illegal purchase, possession, and facilitation of the sale of large and especially large quantities of narcotic substances — crimes punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
During searches of the suspects’ homes and personal belongings, as well as through investigative experiments, police seized narcotics prepared for sale, including Alpha-PVP, dried marijuana, methadone, and mephedrone. Law enforcement also confiscated packaging materials, adhesive tapes, plastic bags, mobile phones, and cash.
