Georgia’s eastern city of Telavi will get a new Spatial Development Master Plan aimed at increasing the economic and tourism potential of the city, the press service of the Government Administration said on Saturday.
The main directions and concept of the Master Plan were agreed upon during a meeting earlier today at the Administration.
The plan includes upgrading tourism infrastructure, supporting cultural development, and improving the distribution of administrative functions and public services to increase the city’s attractiveness for both domestic and international visitors.
Head of the Administration Levan Zhorzholiani said that development of municipalities should begin with the adoption of comprehensive master plans. He emphasised the importance of strengthening Telavi’s tourism potential and expanding cultural life, particularly for young people.
