Representatives from the IT, HR, training, and financial sectors have gathered on Rustaveli Avenue and are currently marching toward Republic Square.

The protesters are chanting “Georgia”, while displaying Georgian and EU flags. They are demanding the release of individuals detained during the ongoing protests against the Government’s decision to halt the country’s EU integration until 2028, and calling for new elections.

Several Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) crews are following the protestors. Additionally, multiple marches have been announced by various sectors at different locations across the capital throughout the day.

The protests were sparked by the Georgian Dream party’s decision on November 28, which stated that Georgia would not prioritize negotiations for EU membership until at least 2028.
