The European Parliament demands Borrell’s resignation due to his visit to Moscow

More than 80 members of the European Parliament have signed a letter inviting the resignation of Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. They regard his visit to Moscow as a failure of European diplomacy.

DPA reports.

"During his visit last week, Mr. Borrell repeatedly failed to defend the interests of the European Union. We believe that the President of the European Commission should take action if Mr. Borrell does not resign of his own accord," – said a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
