The number of detected infections with coronavirus in the world since the beginning of the pandemic on Monday morning was 119 million 848 thousand 281, according to data from the American University of Johns Hopkins.

Worldwide, the number of deaths from diseases associated with COVID-19 increased per day to 2 million 653 thousand 644, more than 95 million people recovered.

Countries with 10 million or more COVID-19 infections include the United States, Brazil and India.

The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 29 million 438 thousand 222 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 534 thousand 880 deaths were recorded, more than 21 million people were cured.

Brazil is in second place in the world in terms of the number of infected. Here, during the pandemic, 11 million 483 thousand 370 cases were registered, of which 278 thousand 229 people died, more than 10 million were cured.

India ranks third in terms of the number of infected, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 11,385,339, the number of deaths – 158,725, more than 11 million people recovered.

According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 341.9 as of Monday morning. In the United States, 1 thousand 646 people died per 1 million inhabitants, Brazil – 1 thousand 303, India – 114.
