The number of detected infections with coronavirus in the world on Monday morning was 146 million 836 thousand 524, according to data from the American Johns Hopkins University.
Globally, since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of deaths from diseases associated with COVID-19 has reached 3 million 106 thousand 435 people.
Countries with over 10 million cases of COVID-19 infection include the United States, India and Brazil.
The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 32 million 77 thousand 75 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 572 thousand 200 deaths were recorded.
The second largest number of people infected is India, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 16 million 960 thousand 172, the number of deaths – 192 thousand 311, more than 14 million people have recovered.
In the third position in the world in terms of the number of infected Brazil, where during the pandemic 14 million 340 thousand 787 cases were registered, of which 390 thousand 797 people died, more than 12.6 million were cured.
According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 400.6 on Monday morning. In the United States, 1 thousand 762 people died per 1 million inhabitants, India – 140, Brazil – 1 thousand 829.
