Protest in Tbilisi: Several arrested near police station in Temka

Several individuals were detained during a protest near a police station in the Temka district of Tbilisi.

According to witnesses, the arrests were allegedly made for not wearing masks, with protesters claiming that police used excessive force.

“People were detained for not wearing masks, and they were forcibly dragged into the police station. Six individuals have been arrested. They even smashed glass with someone’s head. This is a police regime with no boundaries—they have crossed every line. These actions are becoming increasingly repressive. However, we are not afraid, and we will stay here,” said one protester.

The demonstrators initially gathered near Sarajishvili Metro Station with slogans such as “No to the Police Regime” and “Freedom for Prisoners of Conscience.” They then marched to the police station to voice their demands.
