US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing him of failing to resolve the war with Russia and questioning the scale of US financial support for Kyiv.

Trump claimed the US has spent “$350 billion on a war that can’t be won” and argued that Ukraine “could never resolve it without the United States and Trump.” He also suggested that Europe should bear more of the financial burden, as the war is of greater strategic importance to them.

Additionally, Trump took issue with Ukraine’s decision not to hold presidential elections during the war, calling Zelenskyy a “dictator without elections.”

The remarks come as Trump continues to push for negotiations with Russia, asserting that his administration is already making progress toward ending the conflict, while criticizing both Zelenskyy and his predecessor Joe Biden for their handling of the war.
