In a statement posted on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump attributed the ongoing war in Ukraine to the Biden administration, calling it a “ridiculous” conflict that should have never happened. Trump claimed that nearly 20,000 Russian soldiers died in July alone, with total Russian military losses in 2025 reaching 112,500. He added that Ukraine has lost approximately 8,000 soldiers since the beginning of the year, not including those who are missing.

“Russia has lost 112,500 soldiers since the beginning of the year. That is a lot of unnecessary DEATH!” Trump wrote. “Ukraine, however, has also suffered greatly.”

He also acknowledged Ukrainian civilian casualties, stating they were smaller in number but continue to occur as Russian missiles strike Kyiv and other cities.

Calling the war “Biden’s War,” Trump distanced himself from the conflict, claiming, “I’m just here to see if I can stop it!”
