Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu is hopeful that Georgia will participate in the next 3+3 regional format in Ankara which also involves Russia, the country which occupies 20 percent of the Georgian territory.
The first meeting of the regional format was held in Moscow on December 10 in which Georgia refused to take part.
Moreover, the Georgian Foireign Ministry said that the use of the Georgian flag during the meeting in Moscow was ‘unacceptable.’
Instead, the Georgian government offered Azerbaijan and Armenia to cooperate in a different format for regional peace.
