Ukrainian forces liberate another settlement in Donetsk region

Ukrainian Defence Forces have regained full control of the village of Zarechnoye in the Donetsk region, the General Staff announced on Monday.

The body said troops from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment Skala successfully secured the settlement, raising the Ukrainian flag over one of the local buildings.

Zarechnoye is located north of Sloviansk. The liberation comes shortly after Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said on August 24 that Ukrainian troops had carried out successful counteroffensives in Donetsk, freeing three settlements simultaneously.
