Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov has resigned.

“According to the first part of Article 18 of the Law on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, he has submitted his resignation,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said in a statement.

The statement did not elaborate on Avakov’s resignation.

Arsen Avakov has been the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine since February 27, 2014.
