Ukraine says Russia has lost over 1.33 million troops since invasion began

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces on Saturday said Russia has lost about 1,332,950 troops in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, including those killed and wounded, with an increase of 1,240 over the past day.

The updated estimates of Russia’s total combat losses between 25 February 2022 and 2 May 2026 are as follows:

  • Tanks: 11,906 (+3)

  • Armoured combat vehicles: 24,500 (+4)

  • Artillery systems: 41,117 (+73)

  • Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,763 (+6)

  • Air defence systems: 1,357 (+0)

  • Aircraft: 435 (+0)

  • Helicopters: 352 (+0)

  • Operational-tactical drones: 267,589 (+2,305)

  • Cruise missiles: 4,579 (+0)

  • Light-speed boats/ships: 33 (+0)

  • Submarines: 2 (+0)

  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 93,274 (+265)

  • Special equipment: 4,151 (+1)
