Russia’s military death toll in Ukraine surpasses one million, Kyiv

Ukraine's military also said Russian forces have suffered significant equipment losses throughout the 28-month-long conflict.

Russia has lost more than one million soldiers since the beginning of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to figures published on Thursday by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In its latest daily update, Ukraine’s military claims that 1,000,340 Russian personnel have been killed or wounded in action since 24 February 2022. The reported figure includes an increase of 1,140 troops over the past 24 hours.
In addition to human losses, Ukraine's military said Russian forces have suffered significant equipment losses throughout the 28-month-long conflict. According to the update, Russia has lost:
10,933 tanks
22,786 armoured combat vehicles
29,063 artillery systems
1,413 multiple launch rocket systems
1,184 air defence systems
416 aircraft and 337 helicopters
Over 40,000 drones used for reconnaissance and attacks
3,337 cruise missiles
28 boats and one submarine
More than 51,000 vehicles and fuel tanks
3,914 units of specialised military equipment
