One of the leaders of the United United National Movement (UNM) opposition party Gia Baramidze has told Front News that the government has mobilised up to 2,000 individuals from criminal and radical groups to threaten voters on the election day and suppress the opposition
representatives and their supporters if opposition candidates win the municipal race.
Baramidze says that the individuals have already been instructed where to stand on the October 2 election day and how to act.
He says that the ruling party has already used the method in the previous elections.
