Head of the United National Movement (UNM) opposition party Nika Melia claims that the opposition is winning the municipal elections and urged voters to cast ballots to boost the difference between the votes received by the ruling party and the UNM.

He stated that the Georgian Dream ruling party is engaged with threatening and pressuring voters, as well as vote buying especially in the regions, ‘because voters are more informed on electoral issues in big cities’.

The GD, for its part, claims that the UNM will be engaged only in staging provocations because the ‘destructive opposition’ has ‘zero chances’ to win the elections.
