US Defence Secretary Austin to visit Georgia

Lloyd James Austin, the US secretary of defence, will visit Georgia next week, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby has stated. 

 

Kirby said yesterday that during his European tour Austin will visit Georgia, Ukraine and Romania. 

 

He said that the ‘important visit’ will be ended by a NATO ministerial in Brussels. 

 

An exact date of Austin’s visit has not been announced so far.
