The US House of Representatives voted 368-57 on Tuesday to pass a bill on the 40 billion USD aid in support of Ukraine, as the country is facing an ongoing Russian invasion.

All 57 votes in opposition of the bill came from Republicans.

Now the bill needs to be passed by the Senate before it can go to President Joe Biden to be signed into law.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that the Senate is expected “to move swiftly” to get the measure passed and then sent to Biden’s desk.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

Hostilities have been in progress since then.

Biden already signed a Land-Lease act on May 9 which will allow the country to supply Ukraine with weapons without much bureaucracy.
