US military aircraft makes brief stop in Tbilisi, destination unclear

A US military aircraft briefly landed at Tbilisi International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, remaining on the ground for approximately 30 minutes before departing.

The aircraft, identified as a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III operated by the United States Air Force, had arrived from Germany. Its reason for landing in Tbilisi has not been disclosed.

The C-17 is a strategic transport aircraft typically used for carrying military equipment, personnel, and humanitarian aid.

According to flight tracking data from Flightradar24, the aircraft departed Tbilisi heading south, crossing Armenian airspace and entering Turkey before disappearing from radar coverage.
