US: no talks with Russia on European security without our European allies, partners

The US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price says that ‘there will be no talks with Russia on European security without our European allies and partners.’ 

“We are prepared to engage diplomatically with Russia through multiple channels, including the NATO-Russia Council, through the OSCE, and also, if appropriate, bilaterally,” Price said. 

Russia has demanded recently NATO not to meet its 2008 promise on the membership of Georgia and Ukraine of the alliance. 

However, NATO says that they remain committed to the promise.
