The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has deported 31 foreign nationals as part of coordinated operations conducted with other ministry units, the agency announced on Tuesday.

Those expelled in recent days included citizens of India, Turkey, Cuba, Egypt, China, Pakistan, Russia, Congo, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Thailand, Kuwait, Israel, and Ghana. In line with Georgian law, the deported individuals have also been banned from re-entering the country.

The ministry noted that the latest operation had brought the total number of deportations this year to over 1,000 - a record-high figure that significantly exceeds the combined total of deportations carried out over the past three years.
