Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday said that Ukraine’s intelligence services had obtained information indicating that Russia was preparing new strikes against the country’s infrastructure.

Zelenskyy said despite enduring what he described as the most difficult winter since the full-scale invasion, Ukraine had withstood sustained attacks and preserved its energy system.

“Russians wanted to use this winter to destroy Ukraine and Ukrainians, but Ukraine did not break. We preserved our energy system. This winter, Ukraine repelled numerous massive strikes - dozens of missiles and hundreds of Shahed drones in a single attack,” Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that Russia did not intend to halt its attacks and that intelligence reports point to preparations for renewed assaults.

“It is a fact that they are preparing new attacks on infrastructure. Intelligence is providing the relevant information. Therefore, everyone whose duty is to protect Ukraine from attacks must remain as focused in the spring as they were in the winter. Every threat must be met with a response, and Russian targets must be neutralized to the maximum extent possible,” Zelenskyy said.
