Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has tweeted in Georgian to express his gratitude to his Georgian counterpart Salome Zurabishvili for expressing solidarity and support for Ukraine amid fears of Russian invasion.

“I am thankful to President Zurabishvili for supporting Ukraine’s unity. We appreciate this. Along with friends and partners we make Ukraine stronger,” Zelensky said.

Zurabishvili tweeted yesterday that ‘ for Georgia as a country with its own territories occupied, Ukraine’s Day of National Unity is particularly significant in face of the current difficult challenges.’

Both Georgian Ukrainian and Georgian territories are currently occupied by Russia.

More than 100,000 Russian troops are currently assembled at the Ukrainian border allegedly for repeated aggression.

Russia demanded NATO to never add Georgia and Ukraine as new members.
