Georgian MP Aleko Elisashvili of the Citizens' Party said that he left for Ukraine to fight for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
"I have never been indifferent. I could not live to turn a blind eye to someone else's grief and suffering. Now Ukraine, the Ukrainians who shared our bad and good days, are in trouble, fighting against our common enemy," Elisashvili wrote on Facebook.
"I could not watch this struggle from the sidelines. That's why I'm here in Ukraine in the Foreign Legion of Volunteer Fighters. We must defeat the enemy. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Georgia! " he said.
