Despite Russia's war against Ukraine, the country will not cut social spending. Payments of pensions and benefits are a priority. This was announced by Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko at a telethon.
"I do not foresee any delays and cuts in social spending. Usually it is necessary to strengthen the targeting of these expenditures, verification, so that it would be fair - those who have support from the state to receive it, but not to abuse it," he said.
According to him, expenditures of the social block are a priority, as well as military expenditures. He added that 100% will be provided for expenditures related to pensions, social protection, education, health care.
"These expenditures are a priority and must be provided in full," he stressed.
