On Monday morning there was an explosion in the Turkish city of Istanbul. Residents of three houses were evacuated as a result of the incident, reports Cumhuriyet.
The explosion occurred due to a fire of underground cables in the district of Şişli, part of Istanbul. Police, rescuers and the gas service were called to the scene.
Residents of three homes were evacuated as part of a precautionary measure. Electricity was cut off in the area.
On February 5, 2022, there was a fire at a local prison in Istanbul. At least 20 inmates were hospitalized.
