Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that Serbia is militarily neutral and that its soldiers have not invaded Kosovo. Vucic said this during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Hans Stoltenberg.
"Serbia is a militarily neutral country and will remain so. Our history is not simple, but we want to build cooperation with KFOR (NATO contingent in Kosovo) and NATO and make the conflict unique," the president said.
According to Vucic, the Serbian army and police have never crossed the administrative cordon with Kosovo. He said all such accusations against Serbia were nonsense.
"I commend NATO for the fact that they, unlike others, do not lie. We do not need other people's bases, we want to ensure our own sky, land and world and this is how we will behave in the future," the president said.
He said that a rational approach is necessary for solving the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo. In his opinion, Pristina and Belgrade should start a dialogue and find compromise.
