The Prime Minister of Hungary announced the end of the era of the West because of the war in Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán believes that after the end of Russia's war against Ukraine, the West will become weaker than before it began. Orban stated this in an interview with Tichys Einblick.

According to him, the Western countries will not be able to win the war in Ukraine by military means, while sanctions against Russia allegedly will not destabilize it. At the same time, in his opinion, the damages for Europe from the restrictions introduced against the aggressor country are "huge".

"It is quite possible that this particular war will demonstratively put an end to the dominance of the West," Orbán said.

The Prime Minister also added that only those who have their own sources of energy benefited from the war.

"The Russians are making money. EU imports from Russia have decreased by a quarter, but Gazprom's income has doubled. The Chinese, who used to be dependent on the Arabs, have won. And, of course, large American corporations benefit," said the head of the Hungarian government.
