Poland plans to hand over Leopard 2 to Ukraine within a month or two. PT-91 tanks (modernized version of T-72) should also be sent during this period.

 This was stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Ukrinform.

 "I think that this term (one or two months - ed.) is absolutely realistic, taking into account the duration of the training course on comprehensive maintenance of Leopard tanks, which the Ukrainian military is currently undergoing in Świętoszów (a tank training ground in southwestern Poland - ed.)" , - said Duda.

 He added that the Ukrainian military is currently continuing training on tanks and simulators on the territory of Poland, as well as full tank maintenance training.

 It will be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Defense of Poland announced that the first Leopard 2 tanks will arrive in Ukraine in March.

 In addition, at the end of January it became known that Warsaw will transfer several dozen more PT-91 Twardy tanks to Kyiv.
